Petition on women's health: Sign to get it on the agenda at UN Summit for NCDs

It is a fact that non-communicable diseases threaten women’s lives throughout the world. Yet, 80% of cardiovascular disease and diabetes and 40% of cancers can be prevented by avoiding tobacco, increasing physical activity and eating healthy foods.

On 19th and 20th September, world leaders are gathering at the UN for a historic summit on NCDs.

Seeing this as a chance to grab influential figures' attention around women's health, Arogya World has gathered organizations representing global health, women’s health, child rights, and youth perspectives to form the Women for a Healthy Future movement. This movement's first goal is to gather 10,000 women’s signatures, and take them to the media, to world leaders gathered at the UN for the event, and to business leaders.

This movement is aligned with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon’s 'Every woman. Every child' initiative and is mobilizing women from around the world to demand action against NCDs.
